Hive Inspect includes state and industry forms, a repair request builder, per-inspector logins with permissions and team analytics, pay splits and tandem inspections, reports in Spanish or French, and Context Layer in the $99 plan — none of which are on Binsr's published pages as of August 2026. Why does Binsr charge per inspection, and Hive not?

Start with the concession: Binsr Standard is $75 and Hive is $99, so if you want scheduling, payments and reporting without AI, Binsr is $24 a month cheaper and we are not going to talk you out of it. The comparison changes the moment the AI is switched on.

They wrote the critique themselves

Binsr’s own comparison blog puts Spectora at “$109 + $4” per inspection and HomeGauge at $89, and makes the argument we make on our Spectora page: a meter means the bill grows the harder you work. Binsr’s Pro tier — the only tier with AI — is $75 plus $4 per completed inspection. It is the same meter, attached to the same thing Spectora attaches it to: the features you use most. We are not scoring a point here; we are noting that both companies agree the meter is the problem.

Hive Inspect makes money one way — the subscription — with nothing charged per inspection and nothing sold into your client’s portal. None of this says Binsr will not build these things; their roadmap suggests they intend to. It says that today, a firm choosing Binsr is choosing to wait for them, and a firm choosing Hive is not.
