1. Introduction
Synapse Mobility, Inc. ("Hive," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and safeguard information when you access or use our websites, applications, and home-inspection management platform (collectively, the "Services").
Hive provides software-as-a-service tools to professional home inspectors ("Inspectors") to manage inspections, reports, scheduling, payments, communications, and related business operations. Inspectors may use Hive to collect and process information relating to their clients ("Homebuyers").
This Privacy Policy governs Hive's data practices only. Inspectors are independently responsible for their own privacy practices and policies with respect to Homebuyers and other third parties.
By accessing or using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
2. Definitions
"Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to an identifiable individual, as defined under applicable data protection laws.
"De-identified Data" means data that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual. Hive may use de-identified or aggregated data for lawful business purposes.

- Subscription and billing details
- Transaction metadata
- (Payment card data is processed by Stripe and not stored by Hive.)
Customer Support Communications
- Emails, chat messages, feedback, and support requests

Google Services
- Google account basic profile (name, email)
- Google Calendar events, availability, and metadata

- Subscription status, billing events, payment confirmations

5. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Hive may use aggregated and de-identified data to improve platform functionality, analytics, and AI-powered features.
We do not use identifiable personal information to train AI models without appropriate legal basis or consent.
6. Google User Data & OAuth Compliance
Hive's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

6.4 Retention & Deletion
- Google data is retained only while the integration is active
- Cached Google data is deleted within 7 days of disconnection
7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Authenticate users
- Maintain session state
- Store preferences
- Analyze platform usage
- Improve security and performance
You may control cookies through browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect functionality.
Hive does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals unless required by law.
8. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We may share information with:
8.1 Your Designated Recipients
- Homebuyers and agents you authorize to receive inspection reports
8.2 Service Providers
We share personal information with vendors that process it on our behalf under contracts that restrict their use of it. Our principal service providers are:
- Cloud hosting, file storage, and transactional email — Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Database and authentication — Supabase
- Payment processing — Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
- Text messaging (SMS) — Twilio
- Product and marketing email, in-app messaging — Customer.io; live chat — Crisp
- Error monitoring and diagnostics — Sentry
- AI features (report narratives, summaries, voice-to-text, translation) — third-party AI model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic, which process only the content you submit to the AI feature and are contractually prohibited from using it to train their models
- Analytics and advertising measurement — Google, Meta, and Reddit (website only; see Section 7)

8.5 Text Messaging (SMS)
Inspectors may use the Services to send appointment and report notifications by SMS to their clients. Phone numbers and message content are processed by Twilio on our behalf. SMS is sent only to recipients who have provided express consent; message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile opt-in information and phone numbers are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing. See our SMS Messaging Policy for full details.
8.3 Legal & Compliance

Hive does not sell personal information.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Meet contractual obligations
- Comply with legal requirements
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
Business and financial records may be retained for up to 7 years or longer if required by law.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including:
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Access controls and authentication
- Secure cloud infrastructure
- Regular security reviews
No system is 100% secure; however, we take data protection seriously.
11. Your Privacy Rights (U.S. States)
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including CA, CO, VA, CT, UT, TX, NY, NJ, and others) may have rights to:
- Access personal information
- Correct inaccuracies
- Request deletion
- Obtain data portability
- Opt out of targeted advertising or profiling
- Non-discrimination for exercising rights

We will confirm receipt within ten (10) business days and respond within forty-five (45) days (which we may extend once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you). You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: Hive does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Our marketing website uses advertising measurement pixels (Section 7); you can opt out of those through your browser or by emailing [email protected]. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information except as needed to provide the Services (for example, payment information processed by Stripe).
California "Shine the Light": we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
12. EU / UK / International Users
For individuals located in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Hive processes personal data under lawful bases including:
- Performance of a contract
- Legitimate interests
- Legal obligations
- Consent (where required)
You have rights under GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
International transfers are safeguarded using appropriate mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Children's Privacy
Hive is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date and, where the change materially affects how we use information you have already provided, we will notify account holders by email or in the Services before the change takes effect. This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use.
