Before Hive Inspect he worked as an AI researcher in the autonomous vehicle industry, on perception systems that had to interpret messy real-world sensor data and be reliable enough to act on. That problem turns out to rhyme with inspection reporting: the hard part is not generating text, it is preserving the inspector’s judgment while removing the typing.
He works directly with inspectors on migrations, template builds and support, which is where most of what he writes here comes from. He is not a licensed home inspector; where a post covers inspection practice rather than software and workflow, it reflects what inspectors using Hive Inspect have reported rather than his own field experience.
